Celebrating Brea’s Centennial

Brea is considered by many to be one of the hidden gems of Southern California. The city boasts a wide range of services and amenities and is central to some of the most spectacular beaches in the area. In addition to these great features, Brea is a welcoming, diverse and safe community with a thriving business sector.

Recently, Brea celebrated its Centennial. This celebration marked 100 years of growth and change in this wonderful city. Brea has come a long way since its humble beginnings as an oil town and is now one of the most sought after small cities in the western United States. The popularity of the city can be seen in the few homes that are for sale. The real estate market is very competitive and this Centennial Celebration will only add to the popularity of Brea.

The Centennial Parade will be celebrated with over 90 entries. The parade promises to be a fun-filled family event that is full of surprises. Expect to see a wide range of classic cars, animals, musicians, community groups as well as local personalities.

Several baseball games will also be a part of the picnic. These games will re-enact the Babe Ruth vs. Walter Johnson exhibition matchup that was hosted in Brea in 1924. This is a family event so make sure to come out and enjoy an afternoon in the sun!

Brea Centennial Night at Angel Stadium

To keep the celebration going, make sure to purchase your ticket to the upcoming Brea Night at Angel’s Stadium. On July 18, mark Brea’s Centennial with a special roped off tailgate party. The first 4 000 ticket holders will also receive a commemorative Angel’s baseball cap with Brea’s Centennial logo.
